ISS, MIASF
and USSA Form Partnership to Present Industry Training
YachtInfo to Present Initial Program at Ft.
Lauderdale International Boat Show
17 August 2009, Ft. Lauderdale, FL: In a spirit of unique collaboration, three of the
industry's most notable associations-International Superyacht Society (ISS),
Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) and United States
Superyacht Association (USSA)-announce today the formation of YachtInfo, an alliance
dedicated to the industry's professional development.
YachtInfo makes its debut at the 50th
Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show on Friday, 30 October 2009 in
the Bahia Mar Ballroom. The comprehensive program offers a wide-ranging
curriculum for entry level crew through seasoned professionals. The day-time
program builds upon the ISS's Crew Training Seminar program which has occurred
for the past 14 years. Capping the day-long educational series, a Captains
Briefing and Cocktail Party will follow. The Captains Briefing will be the
second in as many years at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and one
more in a series of similar events held previously in St. Marten and Newport,
Rhode Island.
Here is the schedule for the day:
9:00 am - 12:00 noon: Morning Seminars Session
12:00 - 1:00 pm: Lunch
1:00-4:00 pm: Afternoon Seminars Session
4:30-6:00 pm: Captains Briefing
6:00-7:00 pm: Cocktail Party
Participants are required to
register in advance of attending. Tickets for the seminars are $25.00; complete
tickets-which include the seminars, Captains Briefing and Cocktail Party are $35.00.
While the founders of YachtInfo have already outlined the course curriculum for the Ft. Lauderdale event, YachtInfo will continue to present worldwide educational opportunities for the industry and encourages other yachting associations to participate in creating similar exceptional programs. They suggest that those who are interested contact ISS, MIASF or USSA. The founding organizations see the debut of this alliance as a groundbreaking occasion that unites the industry through teamwork.
YachtInfo welcomes inquiry regarding its programs from sponsors, media and the industry at large.
